Dear CFC family,
Greetings in the name of our wonderful Lord!
Someone once said, "The only thing that is constant is change." And, oh, how true that is. It is certainly true for CFC, which is one of the things I love about CFC. We have had a "changing of the guard", so to speak, in a number of positions, just recently, that I would like to share with our congregation.
The first is the resignation of Bob Jirele as our worship leader. Bob and Naomi lead worship for nearly 18 years at CFC. Thank you, Bob and Naomi, for all the great times of worship you lead us into for so many years. Secondly, Ann Hartsook has resigned as our church administrator after 10 years of service in this position. Thank you, Ann, for all your hard work and extra-effort
you put in to serve this church family and our Lord.
Our new worship leader is Pete Hainlen. Pete has been involved on our worship team for many years and will be a great blessing to us in his new position.
As for our administration position, we have hired Linda Cross. Linda and her husband, Dave, were sent out by CFC to plant Harvest Time Bible Church in Faribault and pastored there for 17 years before leaving for Phoenix, Arizona to pastor for 8 years. They are now back in Minnesota and have asked to partner with CFC to plant a new CFC church somewhere in southern Minnesota. We are in prayer about that at the present time. Linda is leading us into the 21st century with her technology expertise. I will share, at a later date, the new things CFC will be doing before the new year arrives as Linda takes the lead in our technology development. (For example, check out CFC's new blog at h
Change can be difficult, but it can also be rewarding. I'm believing for rewarding for all of us involved in these changes. CFC, our greatest days are yet ahead! Thanks for believing in us as your pastors and for your partnership in helping us "Go into every man's world and make disciples." As Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." Let's continue to be a blessing to our Lord and labour in the harvest field.
For the sake of the gospel,
